Desktop pretties time.
That shit’s SWEET, yo. Details after the jump.
Wallpaper: Simple Desktops
At LAST, a site dedicated to simple, clutter-free desktop wallpapers. There aren’t a ton to choose from yet, but I love what they’ve got featured already.
Clock: Rainmeter
The font is Bauhaus, and I (obviously) pulled colors from the wallpaper. Rainmeter has a lot of functionality, but I’m usually just happy with the clock. It’s so easy to customize on the fly.
GUI: Naked Noir (WindowBlinds)
Since I first got WindowBlinds, I occasionally go see what sort of new themes they have available, and I’ve yet to find a theme that impresses me as much as this one. I had to pay $4.95 extra for it, but I think it was well worth it to have a sleek, unobtrusive theme that melds effortlessly with whatever else I do to my desktop.
Docker: ObjectDock with icons from IconFactory
Every once in awhile (Maybe 2-3 times per month) ObjectDock will glitch out on me and close itself, but as it’s freeware I really have no complaints. IconFactory is, of course, the best place on the internet to get free desktop icons.
Media Player: WinAmp with the Dynamic skin
Back in the day on my old computers, WinAmp used to conflict with a lot of my programs and was kind of a pain in my ass. Since that time, I’ve tried a whole host of different media players, some better than others, and ended up trying WinAmp again. I’ve had zero issues with the new version, and maintain that investing in the paid version is absolutely worth it. I had a fairly large music collection, and it handles it wonderfully. This particular skin I like a lot because it’s very full-featured with attention to details a lot of amateur skins leave out.

Man, that’s pretty. And soooo my style.
I used to have Rainmeter in my old laptop but it was, well, OLD so it took forever to run. I might play with it now that I have a new one.

That almost–ALMOST–makes me want to have a PC again.
